Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Cleaning: Assist in the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of equity options data from multiple sources, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
- Market Analysis: Analyze historical and real-time equity options data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that may impact market volatility.
- Dashboard Creation: Develop and maintain interactive dashboards using Tableau or PowerBI to visualize complex datasets for the trading floor.
- Reporting: Prepare weekly and monthly reports summarizing key market metrics and data discrepancies for senior management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the trading and research teams to understand their data needs and provide technical support for data queries.
- Database Management: Assist in maintaining our SQL databases, running queries, and optimizing data retrieval processes.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field (recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
- Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of SQL and familiarity with Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Tools: Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, or similar) is a plus.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Interest: A genuine interest in equity options, derivatives, and financial markets.
