Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Cleaning: Gather and process large datasets related to equity options and market trends to ensure accuracy for analysis.
- Market Analysis Support: Assist the senior team in interpreting historical data to identify patterns and potential opportunities in the options market.
- Dashboard Creation: Utilize tools like Tableau or PowerBI to visualize data findings for stakeholders.
- Reporting: Generate daily and weekly reports summarizing market movements and analytical results.
- Risk Monitoring: Help monitor basic risk metrics associated with option contracts.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the trading desk to understand data requirements and provide timely support.
Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field (or currently pursuing one).
- Experience Level: No prior professional experience required – we value potential over pedigree.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is essential. Knowledge of SQL or Python is a plus but not mandatory.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about numerical data.
