As an Entry Level Data Analyst at Apex, you will work alongside experienced mentors to develop your skills in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools. You will be responsible for assisting in the collection, cleaning, and analysis of complex datasets to uncover actionable insights that help our clients thrive in a competitive market.
Responsibilities
- Assist in Data Collection: Gather and compile data from various internal and external sources to support business reporting needs.
- Data Cleaning & Preparation: Use SQL and Excel to clean, organize, and preprocess raw data to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Dashboard Creation: Support the design and development of interactive dashboards using Tableau or Power BI to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Statistical Analysis: Perform basic statistical analysis to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies within large datasets.
- Reporting: Create clear, concise reports and presentations for stakeholders based on data findings.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the data engineering and product teams to understand data requirements and improve reporting processes.
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on the latest data analysis tools and techniques to improve personal skill set and contribute to team growth.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Charts) is required; familiarity with SQL or Python is a plus but not mandatory.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical thinking and the ability to interpret complex data sets into meaningful insights.
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy when working with numbers and data entry.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present findings to non-technical audiences.
