- Monitor and analyze security alerts from SIEM systems to detect threats targeting equity options trading platforms
- Assist in implementing security controls for trading systems and financial data repositories
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing in controlled environments
- Collaborate with trading teams to ensure security measures align with options trading workflows
- Document security incidents and assist in developing incident response procedures
- Stay current on cybersecurity threats specific to financial markets and options trading
- Participate in security awareness training for financial professionals
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Basic understanding of network security principles and protocols
- Familiarity with SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) and vulnerability scanners
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of financial regulations (SOX, GDPR) is a plus
