Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts for equity options trading platforms using SIEM tools
- Assess vulnerabilities in financial applications and recommend remediation strategies
- Conduct penetration testing on trading systems to identify potential attack vectors
- Document security incidents and contribute to incident response protocols
- Collaborate with compliance teams to ensure adherence to FINRA regulations
- Implement access controls and encryption protocols for sensitive trading data
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field
- Fundamental knowledge of network security principles (TCP/IP, firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Basic understanding of financial markets and equity options trading concepts
- Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Entry-level certifications (Security+, CompTIA Security+, or CEH preferred)
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) for automation tasks
- Ability to obtain FINRA Series 63/65/99 licenses within 6 months
