Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts for equity options trading systems using SIEM tools
- Participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing of financial applications
- Assist with incident response documentation and forensic investigations
- Implement access controls and encryption protocols for sensitive financial data
- Stay updated on emerging threats specific to financial markets and regulatory requirements
- Contribute to security awareness training for trading operations staff
- Assist with compliance reporting for FINRA, SEC, and NIST frameworks
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT, cybersecurity, finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving technologies

- CompTIA Security+ certification preferred (training provided)
