Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts for equity options trading platforms using SIEM tools
- Assess vulnerabilities in financial systems and implement remediation strategies
- Conduct penetration testing on trading applications and network infrastructure
- Ensure compliance with FINRA, SEC, and NYSE security regulations
- Document security incidents and maintain audit trails for financial transactions
- Collaborate with trading desks to implement security controls for options pricing models
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical security events
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Finance, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Basic understanding of equity derivatives and options trading concepts
- Familiarity with NIST Cybersecurity Framework and financial regulatory standards
- Proficiency in network security tools (Wireshark, Nmap) and vulnerability scanners
- Experience with Linux/Windows system administration and scripting (Python/Bash)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for financial data integrity
