Responsibilities
- Monitor security systems and alert queues for potential threats and anomalies.
- Assist in the analysis of security logs and incident reports to identify root causes.
- Participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises.
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate incident response logs.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure compliance with internal security policies.
- Learn and operate SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- A strong desire to learn and a passion for protecting data privacy.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to obtain a Security Clearance (if applicable to role).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
