Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events within the SIEM environment to identify potential threats and suspicious activities.
- Assist in the identification, analysis, and remediation of software vulnerabilities across the organization's infrastructure.
- Support incident response teams by gathering logs, documenting findings, and providing technical analysis during security breaches.
- Conduct regular security assessments, including compliance checks against NIST and internal policies.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure configuration of network devices and servers.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest cybersecurity threats, attack vectors, and defense strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent military/technical experience).
- Active pursuit or completion of CompTIA Security+ or Network+ certification.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, OSI Model, DNS, and HTTP.
- Familiarity with basic Linux and Windows command line interfaces and administration.
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative, high-pressure team environment.
