Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, or similar).
- Perform triage and initial investigation of suspicious network traffic, system anomalies, and potential intrusions.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of network security controls, firewalls, and endpoint protection.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing efforts to identify system weaknesses.
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed logs for compliance auditing and reporting.
- Collaborate with the IT infrastructure team to apply security patches and harden system configurations.
- Participate in red team/blue team exercises to enhance defensive capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Certificate such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, or Google Cybersecurity Professional is a plus but not mandatory.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, OSI model, DNS, HTTP).
- Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, CIS Controls) is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills with extreme attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
