Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for anomalies and potential threats.
- Assist in conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing under supervision.
- Respond to security incidents and help mitigate risks to network infrastructure.
- Document security procedures and incident reports in detail.
- Collaborate with the IT department to ensure secure software deployment.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and vulnerabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- CompTIA Security+ certification is highly preferred for entry-level candidates.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and operating systems (Windows, Linux).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Willingness to obtain required security clearance (if applicable).
