Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and incidents in real-time using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Perform basic vulnerability assessments and configure security controls.
- Assist in the investigation and triage of security events and potential threats.
- Conduct system audits and ensure compliance with internal security policies.
- Document security findings and contribute to the security knowledge base.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent military/technical experience).
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP).
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST or CIS Controls.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to obtain industry-recognized certifications (e.g., Security+, CEH) during employment.
