Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for threat detection and incident response
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing under guidance
- Assist in implementing security controls and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO)
- Document security incidents, procedures, and forensic analysis reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security awareness initiatives
- Research emerging threats and contribute to proactive defense strategies
- Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation for critical incidents
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Basic understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Familiarity with security tools (Wireshark, Metasploit, Nessus)
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- US citizenship or permanent residency required
