Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar) to detect potential threats in real-time.
- Analyze network traffic logs and system events to identify anomalies and suspicious activity.
- Assist in the investigation, containment, and remediation of security incidents.
- Conduct basic vulnerability assessments and security audits on internal systems.
- Update and maintain security documentation, including incident reports and policy compliance.
- Participate in security awareness training and threat hunting exercises.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- CompTIA Security+ or Network+ certification is preferred but not required (training provided).
- Familiarity with basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Willingness to relocate to Jacksonville, FL (Relocation assistance is included).
