Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events within the SIEM environment in real-time.
- Conduct preliminary analysis of suspicious network traffic and potential threats.
- Assist in the documentation of security incidents and compliance reporting.
- Participate in vulnerability assessments and support penetration testing activities.
- Collaborate with senior analysts to enhance incident response procedures and playbooks.
- Perform daily audits of system configurations to ensure compliance with security policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months).
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, operating systems (Windows/Linux), and fundamental security concepts.
- Familiarity with security tools such as firewalls, VPNs, and IDS/IPS.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
