Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security systems for suspicious activity using SIEM tools.
- Assist in the configuration and management of firewalls and intrusion detection systems.
- Conduct security audits, vulnerability assessments, and log analysis.
- Respond to security incidents and assist in root cause analysis and remediation.
- Document security policies, incident reports, and system configurations.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure software deployment and patch management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- CompTIA Security+ certification or willingness to obtain it within 6 months.
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems and command line interfaces.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, VPN).
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ethics and integrity.
