Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and investigate potential threats using SIEM tools
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing under supervision
- Document security incidents and assist with incident response protocols
- Analyze network traffic to detect anomalous activities
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls
- Participate in security awareness training for staff
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification preferred
- Basic understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Familiarity with common security tools (Wireshark, Nmap)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance (if applicable)
