Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Document security incidents and remediation protocols
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls
- Participate in threat hunting and forensic investigations
- Assist with compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Stay current on emerging cybersecurity threats and trends
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification
- Familiarity with network security protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN)
- Basic knowledge of Windows/Linux operating systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- US citizenship or permanent residency required
- 0-2 years of relevant internship or academic experience
