Responsibilities
- Monitor network traffic and security alerts for suspicious activity using SIEM tools.
- Assist in the investigation, triage, and resolution of security incidents.
- Perform routine vulnerability assessments and patch management tasks.
- Document security events and maintain accurate incident reports.
- Support the implementation of security policies and compliance standards.
- Conduct basic log analysis to identify potential threats.
- Collaborate with IT operations to ensure secure network configurations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong desire to learn and obtain industry-recognized security certifications.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP).
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with Linux or Windows operating systems is a plus.
