Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events within the SIEM environment to identify potential threats and suspicious activities.
- Perform log analysis and correlation to ensure the integrity of our network security.
- Assist in the investigation and triage of security incidents using ticketing systems.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of security policies and compliance frameworks.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and report findings to senior security personnel.
- Participate in security awareness training and drills to enhance team readiness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent military/technical experience).
- Strong desire to learn and a passion for information security.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) is highly preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be willing to obtain industry-recognized certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+) within 12 months of employment.
