Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Systems: Assist in monitoring SIEM alerts and security logs to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Incident Support: Participate in the triage and documentation of security incidents, escalating issues to senior analysts when necessary.
- Threat Research: Conduct research on the latest cyber threats and assist in updating internal threat intelligence reports.
- Compliance Assistance: Help maintain compliance with internal security policies and industry standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR).
- Patch Management: Support the process of identifying and applying software patches to mitigate known vulnerabilities.
- Client Support: Provide basic security awareness training and support to internal clients regarding password policies and phishing simulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred. High school diploma with relevant certifications (CompTIA Security+, Network+) will also be considered.
- Experience: No prior professional experience is required. We are looking for raw talent and a willingness to learn.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and operating systems (Windows/Linux).
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking, excellent problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.
- Security Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (if applicable to role).
