Your Role & Responsibilities
- Monitor Security Alerts: Analyze incoming logs and alerts from SIEM tools to identify potential threats and security breaches.
- Incident Response: Assist the team in triaging and responding to security incidents in a timely manner.
- Security Maintenance: Support the deployment of patches, updates, and configuration changes for firewalls and antivirus software.
- Threat Hunting: Participate in proactive searches for vulnerabilities within our network architecture.
- Compliance Documentation: Help maintain accurate records of security audits, policies, and compliance reports.
- Collaboration: Work closely with senior engineers to implement best practices for data protection.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (equivalent experience accepted).
- Passion for Security: A strong interest in cybersecurity, hacking, or network defense is essential.
- Technical Basics: Familiarity with networking concepts (TCP/IP, OSI model, DNS) is a plus.
- OS Knowledge: Basic understanding of Linux or Windows operating systems.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Clearance: Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and respond to incidents within the Security Operations Center (SOC).
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of firewalls and antivirus software.
- Participate in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises.
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed logs in SIEM tools.
- Collaborate with senior analysts to develop and implement security policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Strong interest in cybersecurity and a desire to learn about threat intelligence.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP).
- Familiarity with Linux or Windows operating systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
