Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze network traffic and system logs to identify potential security breaches and anomalies in real-time.
- Assist in the configuration and management of SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) and EDR (Endpoint Detection and Response) tools.
- Support the security team in conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing for internal trading platforms.
- Enforce and document compliance with SEC and FINRA regulations regarding data privacy and equity trading security.
- Respond to security incidents and assist in the remediation of compromised systems.
- Conduct security awareness training for junior staff and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Completion of Security+, CEH, or similar entry-level certifications is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, OSI model, DNS, HTTP).
- Basic knowledge of Linux and Windows command line environments.
- Keen interest in financial markets, specifically equity options and trading mechanisms.
