Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events on SIEM platforms to identify potential threats.
- Assist in the deployment and configuration of security tools and firewalls.
- Conduct basic vulnerability assessments and security audits.
- Document security incidents and maintain accurate logs.
- Collaborate with senior analysts to investigate suspicious network traffic.
- Participate in penetration testing exercises and red team operations.
- Support compliance initiatives such as HIPAA, PCI-DSS, and SOX.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- Willingness to obtain industry-recognized certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CEH) within 12 months.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, OSI model, DNS).
- Familiarity with Linux/Windows operating systems and command line interfaces.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills to report technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.
