Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and investigate potential threats to equity trading platforms
- Assist in implementing access controls and encryption for sensitive financial data
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing under guidance
- Document security incidents and contribute to incident response procedures
- Collaborate with trading teams to ensure compliance with FINRA/SEC regulations
- Participate in security awareness training for financial operations staff
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs)
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to obtain CompTIA Security+ certification within 6 months
- Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced financial environments
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required for regulatory compliance
