Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and analyze potential threats
- Investigate security incidents using forensic tools and methodologies
- Document security findings and remediation actions in compliance frameworks
- Assist with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Collaborate with SOC team members during security incidents
- Implement security controls and best practices across network environments
- Stay current on emerging threats and cybersecurity trends
Qualifications
- Recent graduate or <2 years of cybersecurity experience
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (or pursuing)
- Familiarity with NIST frameworks and cybersecurity best practices
- Basic knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Experience with security tools (Wireshark, Metasploit, SIEM platforms)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Eligibility to work in the United States
