Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts and events using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, or SolarWinds).
- Assist in the identification, analysis, and response to cybersecurity incidents and alerts.
- Conduct vulnerability scans and security assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards (NIST, ISO).
- Document security procedures, incident reports, and audit findings for management review.
- Support the implementation of security patches, updates, and configuration changes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to secure network infrastructure and endpoints.
- Participate in threat hunting exercises and security awareness training.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
- Security+ (Sec+), Network+ (Net+), or CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+) certification is a plus (training provided for non-certified candidates).
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, OSI model, DNS, HTTP).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) environment.
- Clear background check and willingness to undergo drug screening.
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn new security technologies.
