Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and investigate potential incidents using SIEM tools
- Assist with vulnerability assessments and penetration testing under supervision
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Document security policies, procedures, and incident reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure regulatory compliance
- Participate in security awareness training and phishing simulations
- Stay updated on emerging threats and mitigation strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- CompTIA Security+ certification preferred (training provided)
- Ability to work independently and in team environments
- Must be eligible for U.S. employment with relocation assistance available
