Responsibilities
- Monitor, analyze, and respond to security alerts and events in real-time using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, QRadar).
- Conduct daily log reviews and vulnerability scans to identify potential weaknesses in network architecture.
- Assist in the investigation of security incidents, including root cause analysis and incident response documentation.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO).
- Collaborate with network engineering teams to patch vulnerabilities and secure endpoints.
- Participate in red team/blue team exercises and penetration testing activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- CompTIA Security+ or Network+ certification is highly preferred; willing to obtain within 6 months.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, OSI model, DNS, DHCP).
- Familiarity with Linux/Windows operating systems and command-line interfaces (CLI).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting technical findings.
