Responsibilities
- Monitor security operations center (SOC) alerts and investigate potential cyber threats
- Analyze network traffic using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar) to detect anomalies
- Document security incidents and assist with forensic investigations
- Implement vulnerability scans and patch management procedures
- Collaborate with IT teams to enforce security policies and best practices
- Participate in security awareness training for employees
- Assist with compliance audits for frameworks like NIST and ISO 27001
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or equivalent experience)
- Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Understanding of common cyber threats and attack vectors
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
