Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and intrusion detection systems (IDS) to identify potential threats.
- Assist in the triage and response to security incidents and log analysis.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and perform basic security scans of internal systems.
- Configure and manage firewall rules and endpoint protection solutions.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure compliance with internal security policies and industry standards.
- Document security findings and prepare clear, concise reports for management.
- Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends and threat vectors.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (equivalent experience considered).
- CompTIA Security+ certification is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, OSI model, DNS, HTTP).
- Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems and command line interfaces.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
