Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Investigate and document security incidents using MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Perform vulnerability scans and penetration testing under supervision
- Assist with patch management and compliance reporting (NIST, CIS)
- Collaborate with IT teams to implement security controls
- Participate in tabletop exercises for incident response scenarios
- Contribute to security awareness training for employees
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (or commitment to obtain within 6 months)
- Familiarity with Windows/Linux operating systems and networking fundamentals
- Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 environment
- Must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident (for government clearance eligibility)
