Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on internal networks
- Assist with incident response, including forensic investigation and containment
- Implement and maintain security controls for cloud and on-premise environments
- Document security policies, procedures, and compliance documentation
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security best practices are followed
- Stay current on emerging threats and cybersecurity trends
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ certification or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with NIST frameworks and CIS controls
- Basic knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Experience with Windows/Linux operating systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
