Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk/Sentinel)
- Investigate potential security incidents using MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Document security events and remediation actions in ticketing systems
- Assist with vulnerability scanning and patch management processes
- Participate in tabletop exercises and phishing simulations
- Collaborate with network engineering teams on security hardening
- Prepare incident response reports for leadership review
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Fundamental knowledge of TCP/IP networking and operating systems
- Basic scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, or Bash)
- Understanding of NIST cybersecurity frameworks
- CompTIA Security+ certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Strong analytical problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts for 24/7 operations coverage
