Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Assist in incident response procedures and documentation
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing support
- Analyze network traffic to identify potential security threats
- Contribute to security policy development and compliance audits
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security initiatives
- Participate in security awareness training and knowledge sharing
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Eagerness to learn cybersecurity tools and frameworks
- Strong analytical problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- CompTIA Security+ certification (preferred but not required)
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
