Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and investigate potential threats using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Assist in developing and implementing security policies and incident response plans
- Document security incidents and maintain compliance with NIST and ISO standards
- Collaborate with IT teams to patch systems and mitigate security risks
- Participate in security awareness training for employees
- Stay updated on emerging threats and recommend proactive security measures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and security tools (Wireshark, Nmap)
- Basic knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure) and access control systems
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in fast-paced environments
