Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for threat detection
- Investigate security alerts and document incident response activities
- Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing under supervision
- Assist in implementing security controls and hardening systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security initiatives
- Stay current on emerging threats and security best practices
- Participate in security awareness training campaigns
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification preferred
- Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, CIS)
