Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Perform vulnerability scans and penetration testing under guidance
- Document security incidents and assist with forensic analysis
- Implement security controls and patches across network infrastructure
- Participate in red team exercises and threat simulation drills
- Update security policies and procedures based on emerging threats
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security initiatives
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification preferred
- Familiarity with network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows/Linux)
- Strong analytical problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work rotating shifts in 24/7 security operations center
- Valid U.S. government security clearance eligibility required
