Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for threat detection and analysis
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on network infrastructure
- Assist in developing and implementing security policies and procedures
- Document security incidents and participate in forensic investigations
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and ISO standards
- Support security awareness training for employees across multiple departments
- Stay current with emerging threats and security technologies through continuous learning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Basic understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP) and system architectures
- Familiarity with security tools such as Wireshark, Nmap, or Burp Suite
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
- 0-2 years of cybersecurity or IT security experience
