Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Document security incidents and contribute to incident response plans
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement security controls
- Stay current on emerging threats and industry best practices
- Assist with security audits and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Participate in tabletop exercises for incident response preparedness
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification preferred
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs)
- Basic understanding of operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Knowledge of common security tools (Wireshark, Metasploit)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
