Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Assist in vulnerability scanning and penetration testing exercises
- Document security incidents and participate in forensic investigations
- Implement security controls and configure firewall policies
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with NIST and ISO standards
- Conduct security awareness training for employees
- Analyze malware samples and threat intelligence feeds
- Contribute to incident response playbooks and security documentation
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
- Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Understanding of common security frameworks (NIST, CIS)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
