Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Document security incidents and assist with forensic investigations
- Perform vulnerability scans and penetration testing under guidance
- Implement security controls and policies across cloud/on-premises infrastructure
- Collaborate with SOC team to mitigate emerging threats
- Stay updated on evolving cyber threats and mitigation techniques
- Assist with compliance audits (NIST, ISO 27001)
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification preferred
- Basic understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Basic scripting knowledge (Python, PowerShell) a plus
