Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Assist in vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Document security incidents and support forensic investigations
- Implement basic security protocols across network infrastructure
- Collaborate with IT teams to maintain compliance with security standards
- Participate in tabletop cybersecurity drills and training sessions
- Stay updated on emerging threats and security best practices
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field OR equivalent experience
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, firewalls)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving technologies
- CompTIA Security+ certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Must be authorized to work in the United States
