Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Participate in incident response procedures and documentation
- Perform vulnerability scans and penetration testing under supervision
- Assist with security policy compliance audits and reporting
- Collaborate with IT teams on security hardening initiatives
- Research emerging threats and contribute to threat intelligence
- Document security procedures and create technical documentation
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
- Basic understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS)
- Familiarity with Windows/Linux operating systems
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 security operations center
