Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems to detect and analyze potential threats
- Investigate security alerts and escalate critical incidents to senior analysts
- Assist in implementing vulnerability assessments and penetration testing activities
- Document security incidents, remediation actions, and compliance reports
- Collaborate with IT teams to enforce security policies and best practices
- Participate in 24/7 rotational security operations center (SOC) coverage
- Contribute to security awareness training for internal stakeholders
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Basic understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS)
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)
- Knowledge of common security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Ability to analyze complex technical problems and document findings
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be eligible for relocation to Dallas, TX
