Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for suspicious activity
- Assist with incident response documentation and initial triage
- Conduct vulnerability scans and penetration testing under supervision
- Implement and maintain firewall configurations and access controls
- Support security awareness training programs for employees
- Assist in developing disaster recovery and business continuity plans
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security audits and compliance
- Document security procedures and maintain knowledge base articles
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field OR equivalent experience
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- CompTIA A+ certification preferred (not required)
- Ability to work independently in remote environment
