Responsibilities
- Monitor security information and event management (SIEM) systems for anomalous activity
- Assist in investigating and documenting security incidents under mentorship
- Perform vulnerability scans and penetration testing support tasks
- Contribute to security awareness training materials for employees
- Help maintain security documentation and compliance frameworks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on security initiatives
- Participate in tabletop security incident response simulations
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls)
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- CompTIA Security+ certification (preferred but not required)
- 0-2 years of professional experience acceptable
