Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Assist in incident response procedures and threat hunting activities
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing exercises
- Document security findings and remediation recommendations
- Support compliance audits for NIST, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS frameworks
- Collaborate with engineering teams on secure coding practices
- Participate in quarterly tabletop cybersecurity simulations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ or CEH certification (preferred)
- Familiarity with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS)
- Basic understanding of cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP)
- Experience with Linux/Windows command-line interfaces
- Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work rotating on-call shifts (1 week/month)
