Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts using SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar)
- Assist in investigating and documenting security incidents
- Perform vulnerability scans and penetration testing support
- Implement and maintain security controls (firewalls, IDS/IPS)
- Conduct security awareness training for employees
- Assist with compliance audits (NIST, ISO 27001)
- Document security procedures and policies
- Collaborate with IT teams on security initiatives
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- CompTIA Security+ certification preferred (not required)
- Ability to work in a 24/7 rotating shift environment
