Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze security alerts using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar)
- Perform vulnerability scans and penetration testing exercises
- Document security incidents and assist with forensic investigations
- Implement firewall rules and access control configurations
- Conduct security awareness training for employees
- Assist with compliance frameworks (NIST, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
- Participate in threat intelligence analysis and reporting
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT/Cybersecurity (or equivalent experience)
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent certification (preferred)
- Basic knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
- Familiarity with Windows/Linux operating systems
- Understanding of common security threats (malware, phishing, DDoS)
- Ability to learn technical concepts quickly
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Active TS/SCI clearance eligibility (required)
